On March 15th, HMADS and Principal Mrs. Seta Tavitian- Megherian once again welcomed AESA-NY NJ Chapter for the Annual Science Fair. This year marks the 30th anniversary of HMADS Science Fair, which continues to motivate young learners to think beyond the ordinary, especially the third through sixth graders on their inventions for the Invention Convention Center.
Mr. Aram Setian, Mr. Hovhannes Mardirossian, Mr. Vahan Tanal, Mr. David Michaelian, and Mr. Nichan Tcorbajian, who are all acclaimed professionals in their respective fields of science present from AESA-NYNJ Chapter to judge, and encouraged and offered mentor-ship to the young inventors.
In addition,Principal Emeritus Mrs. Zarminé Boghosian, who created the Annual HMADS Science Fair 30 years ago was present to stress the importance of this exciting and ever changing field to our students.
This year, we had the privilege of having guest speaker Dr. Lernik Essayei, whose main focus has been on rural healthcare and is currently working on her MPA for Health Policy and Management at NYU Robert Wagner School of Public Service.
Each of the Invention Center participants received an official certificate from AESA-NY NJ group and the first, second and third place winners were Artur Badalyan, Armen Aprahamian and Nectar Mouradian respectively. The winners of the Invention Center received a monetary reward sponsored by Mr. Vahan Tanal, who like all of the AESA members always encourage creative minds to keep on thinking.
HMADS thanked AESA- NY NJ Chapter for once again joininig in celebration of science and inspire the students to reach for the stars.
